This genre drives me absolutely nuts. Unfortunately, the kid who just moved in downstairs to me loves this shit so I have to hear it through the wimpy floorboards any time I'm home.

Hey I will admit I enjoy jockrock bands like blink 182, getupkids, etc. etc.

But this influx of these jerks mixing genres blows my mind and total skews the listeners of this shit to the true kids that listen to hardcore. It blows my mind that my little step-brother listens to all this crap back home in NY, and when I try to get him into old NYHC beatdown bands he just scuffs. There is nothing positive from kids listening to this genre, i would rather them listen to nickleback and marilyn manson.

Hopefully U2 or Madonna adopt this style soon so it can be officially ruined for these dipshits.

This is way worse than attack attack, attack attack has some really creative and unique parts. Those songs had no oomph.

Yeah this stuff is getting infectious.

serious question here, how do you people find these bands? do you just happen to stumble across the video? other boards?

i guess i dont pay attention enough whenever im on another board or just on the net to seek this shit out. i wouldnt know who half of these bands are if it wasnt for this board. i would really like to keep it that way.

SSD and DYS at their worst are 1000x better than this shit. Same with Grave New World Discharge haha. I still wish they would re record Grave New World with Rat singing in punk vocals but keep the metal guitars going. It would probably just sound like GISM from the M.A.N. era. Sorry.....music nerd in me had to say that.

Myspace. I chalk it up to umm 2005? When Suicide Silence and Job for a Cowboy started getting more fans across the states. Thats when i started noticing d-bags at Hardcore shows with their shirts. And they knew nothing of any other bands expect those two bands and other nu-metal and pop bands. Just because it was cool to like them and wear their shirt. Then it was a downward spiral from there, where more and more jocks and fashion kids started playing metal riffs with chugga breakdowns and pig vocals and wore tight pants and swoopy hair. I'm kind aglad they dont know of good hardcore bands that hold precious to my heart, because in a year or two they will be in college and raping and getting alcohol poisoning and listening to hiphop. Shit just pisses me off.
