have fallen apart (what I deem) too quickly; specifically the palms deteriorating. I just bought a new pair, is there anything I can do to remedy this?

you can get gloves re-palmed.

don't use black tape for the knob at the top of your stick. use white. black tape contains a dye which makes the leather of the palms deteriorate more rapidly.

i second what was said earlier about the black tape. it eats right through. i've owned a shitty pair of Vic's for a decade now. use white tape. gloves also aren't that expensive it you hit up the right places. the used sports store on the blvd actually carries a good amount of decent equipment for cheap.

it's been a few years since i've had gloves re-palmed but when i did i want to say it ran between 30 and 40 dollars for the pair. only thing that sucks about it is that you have to break in the leather again.

Gotcha thanks guys. I bought a cheap pair for only $40 since I'm just doing that floor hockey league that was posted about, so I doubt I'd spend the same amt if I need them re-palmed. I think my old gloves would get left in my trunk or my bag too consistently as well, and they got gross and rotted

Where did you have it done? My right glove has a huge hole in it now and I don't think they make them like they did. Easton's with the smartcuff design. I should get new ones but I love the ones I have now I think I might just re palm them.

The sports store i think its called sports replay. across the street from the target/lowes/christmas tree store plaza. its a small place but they do have hockey stuff in new and old all good stuff.

Awesome. I went in there for a sharpening years ago but didn't realize they were still open. Probably because I don't leave the city ever.

i took it to some guy who does leather work in north buffalo somewhere. when my dad gets home (he's out of town for a few days) i'll see if he remembers where we took them, this was when i was in high school.
