inspired by Gregadeth on Facebook, this is what I have so far for 2025 (will update as new releases come out):
Morbific - Bloom of the Abnormal Flesh (this is what Greg has been hyping a lot)
Balefire - Balefire (this EP is my personal favorite, so far)
Other stuff in alphabetical order:
Arch Enemy - Blood Dynasty (melodic death metal, it's not great, but it's not bad either)
Blood Monolith - The Calling of Fire
Cadaver - Hymns of Misanthropy
Cancer - Inverted World (both this and Cadaver are older bands with solid late career material)
Corpus Offal - Corpus Offal
Gruesome - Silent Echoes
Imperial Triumphant - Goldstar (not strictly death, but weird and cool)
share more for me to listen to!

Mutagenic Host - The Diseased Machine (think Tribal Gaze but from England)
Phrenelith - Ashen Womb (for the ugly death metal lovers)
Open Kasket - Trials of Failure (more mosh than metal, still fun as hell)
Malkavian - Delusion (super indie band - good death/thrash/black metal hybrid)
Myth Carver - Twist of Fate (drunk driving a convertible in 1982 metal in the best way possible)
Celestial Scourge - Observers of the Inevitable (Norway death that's hella technical but still groovy and fun)
Ancient Death - Ego Dissolution (old school, on the ugly side production wise, still rocks)
Cytotoxin - Biographyte (best tech death of the year so far, caveman death fans may not like this)
Inoculation - Actuality (another Maggot Stomp classic)

Not sure what Myth Carver was doing on a death metal list but I’m glad you put it there. Had never heard them before & it’s sick, thanks.

Oh I know they're not death metal, but its an EP I've gone back to a lot this year and didn't want to exclude it from the new metal as a whole conversation.

I like that idea. I’ll partake as well. New Atomic Witch dropped Friday. Conventional death metal it is not, but I think it’s closer to death metal than it is anything else they could be called.

Damn, this may be their best one yet. We gotta get more death metal bands to come to Buffalo.
